Remi Rough (UK)

remi roughRemi Rough continues to challenge the boundaries of contemporary painting as he traverses between the collected history of art and today’s urban lexicon. Thematically he continues to explore associations between Suprematist concepts, Abstract Expressionism and Graffiti art. Which in practice and theory they become ever present. This amalgamation yields a new type of modernist painting, one that reflects his passion for the aforementioned but also his desire to re-imagine it all for todays world.

RekaOne (Australia)

reka 2James Reka is a young contemporary Australian artist based in Berlin, Germany. His origins lie in the alleyways and train lines of Melbourne’s inner-suburbs where he spent over a decade refining his now-emblematic aesthetic. His character work has come to represent the beginnings of a new style of street art: clean, unique and not necessarily on the street (much to his mother’s joy). Surrealist, abstracted creatures emerge from the depths of Reka’s mind, communicating through strong lines, dynamic movement and bold colours. Theses figures haunt the laneways over three continents, clambering up brick walls and giving the urban environment a literal fresh coat of paint. Their personalities mirror those of their often-decrepit metropolitan context, opening a dialogue between the viewer and their surroundings.

Robert Proch (Poland)

robert proch25 year-old Robert Proch began putting up graffiti in his hometown of Bydgoszcz, Poland as a teen. He soon experimented with traditional painting too. He has exhibited in his native Poland, Denmark, Italy, Hungary, Estonia and Germany including at the respected Stroke urban art fair.  Proch's style is inspired by state-of-the-art animation as much as classic caricature, and impressionism as much as modernist graffiti. The mini-narratives he paints examine the modern human condition using vivid colours and tangible emotions. Sentimentality, ambition, fear, loss, hubris, greed and friendship play their roles in snapshot dramas set in coffee shops and shopping malls; or during pregnancies and suicides. Proch stresses the intensity of experience in his vibrant portrayals of situations that could be considered ominous, maudlin or plain mundane.  Mural shown a collaboration between Robert Proch and Pener.

Sepe (Poland)

Waone of Interesni Kazki (Kiev)

interesni-kazkiVladimir Manzhos aka Waone started painting on the streets as far back as 1999. After several years of painting classical graffiti, as part of the Ingenious Kids crew in Kiev, he got bored of letters.  In 2003 Waone teamed with Aec and shifted to visual storytelling, painting massive murals without letters and developing a fairy tale visual language. They formed a style of contemporary muralism with a transcendental, ethereal form of public art.  In 2005 Waone and Aec established a duo, called Interesni Kazki, which means, "Interesting fairy tales." During the next 10 years, the guys travelled around the globe painting their colorful surrealistic large scale murals. Famous for their unusual and imaginative imagery, the wide range of characters, elements and symbols, and usage of bright colors and smooth gradients in their works have graced walls from India to Mexico and from Miami to Moscow.  Vladimir has an interest in the spiritual and religious traditions of the world and cultures of ancient world. He has been learning the connection between art and spiritual traditions. Once, he even got ordained into an orthodox Christian tradition and studied yoga.  Waone believes that art is one of the paths to perfection and divine worlds, and the main goal of an artist is to make the highest divine values understandable for the common man through art.  Since 2016 Waone works as a single artist.
